AHM DEALER IMAGE PROGRAM DESIGN PROCESS AND TIMELINES

GENERAL

Changeup Inc (CU) will present your Design Intent Documents (DID) to review the process and submittal requirements.

A. Invitees: Architect of Record (AOR), PM team, General Contractor (GC), and other relevant personnel

Two-Step Compliance Process:

A. Preliminary drawing (PD) submittal and approval to CU and city planning (AHJ)

B. Construction drawing (CD) submittal and approval to CU and city building department (AHJ)

PRELIMINARY DRAWING (PD) SUBMITTAL

  1. AOR shall prepare and submit PD set to CU within 8 weeks of DID presentation (preliminary acceptance required by CU Prior to AHJ submittal)

  2. Files (PDF and CAD) required, at minimum, as a part of PD submittal based on DID package:

    A. Site plan

    B. Floor plan

    C. Exterior elevations

  3. Once accepted by CU, PD set submitted for AHJ review

    A. Any drawing revisions required by AHJ must be re-submitted to CU for review and approval

  4. Once PD set is approved by AHJ, AOR proceeds with CD set

CONSTRUCTION DRAWING (CD) SUBMITTAL AND APPROVAL

  1. Submit complete CD set (PDF) to CU to verify compliance

    A. Compliance review letters are provided with comments for correction

    B. Comments must be addressed and revised drawings or written justification for exceptions submitted to CU

    C. Letter of compliance (LOC) will be published once all corrections or exceptions are addressed and considered


  2. Compliant CD set to become expectation for completed facility

    A. Deviations from compliant set shall be submitted to CU for consideration

    B. Deviations not approved by CU could jeopardize compliance status


  3. CD set shall include the following, minimum:

  • Title sheet

  • General notes and code data

  • Architectural site plan

  • Floor plan

  • Floor finish plan

  • Interior finish schedule

  • Furniture, fixture, and equipment plan

  • Furniture and fixture schedules

  • Interior elevations

  • Door schedule

  • Window schedule and type

  • Reflected ceiling plan

  • Lighting plan

  • Light fixture schedule

  • Exterior building elevations

  • Exterior finish schedule

  • Building sections

  • Enlarged floor plans (as needed)

  • Floor power plan

  • Plumbing fixture schedule

  • Additional sheets as required

4. Approved CD set submitted to AHJ for plan review

5. Once approved, AHJ will issue a permit and construction can begin on dealership project

6. Upon construction completion:

A. Dealer shall request facility inspection through OEM Regional manager

B. CU conducts final inspection based on the approved compliance CD set submitted and previously approved exceptions
